Bipolar Parallel Configuration

Bipolar Parallel configuration increases the stepper motor's torque at higher speeds. The following diagram is a typical speed/torque curve for a step motor wired in parallel vs. series. Notice there is not as much low speed torque, but there is more torque on the high end. Kind of like a 3:36 gear ratio in your 55 chevy versus a 4:11.Interesting, Isn't it.
